New Bridge Nursery School

Snowflake ASC Resource Centre

Our Snowflake Centre provides a positive and holistic environment where children can grow, develop and gain an interest in the world around them.

We are a specialised nursery setting for children who are awaiting an assessment for an autism spectrum condition OR who have a diagnosis of autism. We cater for 3 to 5 year old children who live in the Reading area.

Our aim is to provide positive experiences every day, to build relationships with families and to have high expectations for learning.  Autism is a lifelong spectrum condition and each child we work with is treated and respected as an individual. We work closely together to provide the best learning environment for each child.

We offer either five morning or five afternoon places.

Just some of what we provide:

  • Highly experienced, knowledgeable and qualified staff

  • High staff to children ratios

  • Motivating activities following Gina Davies' Attention Autism programme

  • Weekly 1:1 speech and language sessions with our speech and language therapist

  • Integration into the mainstream nursery with support

  • Individual target planning

  • A multi modal approach; understanding that communication is not just about language

  • An appropriate physical environment; with daily outdoor play

  • Family support throughout a child’s time here at Snowflakes

  • Full support to find the most appropriate primary school, whether that will be mainstream, a resource or a special school

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transport.
