New Bridge Nursery School

Our Story
New Bridge in the community

New Bridge is a 60 place (full time equivalent), Local Authority Nursery School. We are close to the border of Oxfordshire and Reading serving a mixed catchment area with a supportive community. We occupy an early 20th Century primary school building, leased to Reading Borough Council by the Diocese of Oxford. Many adaptations and updates have been made to the buildings and classrooms to meet the needs of younger children and improve staff facilities.

We support many charities, particularly with a focus on children's needs. Local services currently using our spacious hall include: 'Stitches in Reading' (sewing classes), Pregnancy Yoga, Mindfulness Training and Thames Valley Gay Chorus choir. Please pick up leaflets in our reception.

The Rights of the child

We believe every child has a right to receive the best possible learning experience in an environment that is safe and supportive yet stimulating and ambitious. Through our sensitive handling, your child will feel confident, secure and happy at Nursery.
