New Bridge Nursery School

Nursery Sessions from September

Nursery sessions we offer at New Bridge Nursery School

All three and four year old children are entitled to attend a nursery setting for 15 hours. From September 2017 we have also offered places to children of parents who qualify for 30 hours. We will continue to offer extra paid sessions where possible.

Please find below an overview of what we offer here at New Bridge for both the 15 and 30 hour entitlements and for extra paid sessions:

15 hour entitlement

·         Your child will attend 5 mornings or afternoons and one full day a week. Parents can request mornings or afternoons and these are offered on a first come first served basis

·         Lunch Club is an additional hour above the 15 hours and therefore comes at a small charge (please see New Bridge Nursery Charges 2018/19)

·         Our induction program enables children to have a smooth transition working towards their 15 hours. If your child is still unsettled at the end of their induction, we may advise that your child continues working towards their full hours. However, it is your entitlement and therefore your child can start their 15 hours straight away if you wish

·         We are currently not able to offer flexibility on the 15 hours e.g. 2 days and a half day

30 hour entitlement

·         Parents must apply for the 30 hour entitlement every 3 months and inform the nursery should their circumstances change

·         New Bridge offer the 30 hours on a full time basis; 9-3pm term time only

·         Our induction program enables children to have a smooth transition working towards their 30 hours. If your child is still unsettled at the end of their induction, we may advise that your child reduces the hours and works towards the 30 hours until they are ready. However, it is your entitlement and therefore your child can start full time straight away if you wish

·         The lunch hour is included within the 30 hour entitlement and therefore you do not need to pay for your child to attend Lunch Club

·         Your child will be assigned to one key group when they join New Bridge and attend the 30 hours within the same key group and class

·         Should your child become entitled to the 30 hour funding mid-year and your child’s key group is full, they may attend their additional 15 hours in another key group

·         Breakfast and after school club is not included within the 30 hours and comes at an additional cost (see New Bridge Nursery Charges 2018/19)   PDF Version HERE

Children who attend Snowflakes who are eligible for 30 hours may be offered the additional 15 hours in our mainstream setting. This will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Extra sessions

·         If you wish for your child to attend nursery above their 15 hour entitlement and you are not entitled to the government funding of 30 hours, we offer extra paid sessions (morning or afternoons) whenever there are spaces available

·         Extra paid sessions work on a first come first served, then case by case basis. We will liaise with parents on how we can make the transition work best for you and your child

·         Your child will remain in their key group when their group is not full

·         If your child’s key group is full, they may have their extra mornings or afternoons with another key group

·         Paid for extra sessions will be converted should your child become entitled to 30 hour funding

Wraparound care

·         Please see more information on our website under ‘Breakfast and After School Club

·         Please note Breakfast and After School Club cannot be included within the 15 or 30 hour entitlement
